Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born August 19, 1965 is an American actor. Her most well-known character is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick earned the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the show was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English heritage. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.

She is also a public speaker, consultant, columnist syndicated to a speaker as an author, author, and television personality. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage that she started. NRT purchased it for $66million in 2001. Corcoran later left the business.
